Dear Mr. Rehman Malik (Interior Minister, Government of Pakistan),

I recently found out that you have decided to take action (aka, block, ban and forget) against blasphemous content on the internet. Let me take this opportunity to tell you that I am extremely delighted at this announcement.

In fact, I am so overwhelmed by the idea that I have decided to write this letter of appreciation and to help you filter content (that needs to be censored immediately). Let me first define blasphemy (since confusion is rampant) and allow me to restate this: nothing would disappoint the Prophet (PBUH) more than violence being justified in his name; nothing is more blasphemous than using Islam as a tool to justify violence.

Therefore Mr. Malik, the following recommendations have been made in this light.

Haq Char Yaar: The website promotes hate speech against Shias and the Ahmadis. It also goes on to claim (http://www.kr-hcy.com/shia/kufr.shtml) that Shias are non-Muslims, urging people to fight the Shia Fitna. The forum concludes that anyone who disagrees with them “has to suffer with the words of Kafir/Infidel.” In the presence of muftis and a federal Shariah court this should at least qualify for contempt of court if not blasphemy.

Ulma-e-Deoband: The facebook page, http://www.facebook.com/ulmaedeobnad?fref=ts affiliated with Al Qaeda, Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, Sipah-e-Sahaba, Taliban etc, frequently promotes hate speech against Sunni Barelvis, Shias and Ahmadis. It also goes on to claim that Shias and Sunni Barevlis are Kafir (infidel) and Mushrik (polytheists). The facebook page is managed by a number of extremist Deobandis including Aamir Saeed of Peshawar (allegedly a moderator on Ulma-e-Deoband hate site) who in his own words admits to have a working relationship with that page. In his words: “I am editor at Zaid Hamid Exposition and this is no secret. Our team have a working relationship with the Facebook page Ulma e Deoband where they share everything we post to our Facebook page/blog on their Facebook page.”

Sample of hate speech against Sunni Barelvis, Shias, Ahmadis etc on Ulma-e-Deoband hate site:

This man (Aamir Saeed Deobandi aka @aamirsaeed313 from Peshawar, allegedly writes as Subverter on UlmaedDeoband facebook page and also moderates another sectarian- hate page Zaid Hamid Exposition) admits that he has “working relationship” with the Ulma-e-Deoband hate site. On his personal blog (BaalaHisaar) he frankly admits his association with the two hate sites: http://baalahisaar.wordpress.com/2013/02/01/my-response-to-the-allegations-by-abdul-nishapuri/

We notice that in the aftermath of recent hate speech against Shias by Aamir Saeed (also a Deobandi) on Ulma-e-Deoband, at least 25 Shia Muslims were killed in Hangu (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa) by Takfiri Deobandi terrorists of banned outfit Sipah-e-Sahaba (ASWJ-LeJ). Murder of Shia and moderate Sunni Muslims in Peshawar, Sawat etc too is incited by hate speech by the Ulma-e-Deoband facebook page. Aamir Saeed also allegedly moderates @UlmaeDeoband handle on Twitter and is usually found flattering and interacting with Raza Rumi, Ali Chishti etc.

Aamir Saeed Deobandi (who is allegedly a moderator under the alias of subverter on Ulma-e-Deoband) obfuscates Shia genocide by Takfiri Deobandi militants as Sunni-Shia sectarian issue.

Aamir Saeed and other affiliates of the Ulma-e-Deoband insult Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), Sahaba and Ahle Bait. https://lubpak.com/archives/241851

Ironically, Aamir Saeed and his affiliates of the Zahid Hamid Exposition and Ulma-e-Deoband hate sites are fond of describing people as Gustakh-e-Risalat and Gustakh-e-Sahaba (blasphemer of Prophet and his companions) in order to get them killed by Takfiri Deobandi terrorists. Here are two examples:

The standard of English on UlmaeDeoband facebook page is generally very poor except the posts allegedly written by Aamir Saeed (who initially used the alias of Subverter but now writes anonymously) who also allegedly maintains their Twitter account @UlmaeDeoband. Not surprisingly the Twitter account is focused on LUBP and its former editor:

Examples of reaction to such dirty tactics by pro-ASWJ haters and their fake liberal sponsors:

Interestingly despite his fanatic, sectarian views he describes himself as a liberal. Of course, he is supported by none else than another similar liberal, i.e., Raza Rumi, Director of allegedly pro-establishment Jinnah Institute.

Video: This Takfiri Deobandi suicide bomber was brainwashed by anti-Shia website Ulma-e-Deoband:

These are just few examples of terrorist websites that perpetuate hate, discrimination and promote violence, that are accessible throughout Pakistan. To be more accurate, according to the 2006 statistics there around 4,500 extremist websites, most of which are accessible in Pakistan.

Please note that since May 2010, over 1,200 websites have been blocked, without any prior warning or an explanation or notice regarding the duration of the ban. This appears to be an honest mistake, because child porn and terrorist websites continue to be accessible throughout Pakistan (blasphemy of the utmost level). I hope that you will take notice and assure a crackdown on all sites mentioned above. After all, this is Islamic Republic of Pakistan and we must ensure that even our virtual world is secure from all forms of blasphemous content.

Sincerely,

A citizen, concerned about the freedom of the internet.
